The role of Merchandise Planner is pivotal in driving financial performance across online channels. It involves budgeting, analyzing sales data, and recommending strategic initiatives to optimize stock levels.

A successful candidate will have 2+ years of experience in merchandise planning, preferably within an eCommerce or retail environment. They should possess strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales trends and provide insightful recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage sales budgets by online channel across various timeframes.
  • Analyze sales, stock, and sell-through rates to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Planning Analysts and Merchandise Planners to optimize stock flow and replenishment.
  • Monitor campaign stock needs and ensure promotional initiatives are supported.
  • Provide real-time sales insights during peak promotional periods using tools like Google Analytics.
  • Analyze customer returns trends and ensure aged stock remains productive.
  • Partner with the Ecommerce team to ensure accurate site merchandising and promotional content.
  • Maintain efficient stock allocations and order fulfillment with the warehouse team.
  • Presentation category and sales performance updates in weekly business meetings.

Skill Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret sales trends.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present insights.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics and other sales analysis tools.
  • Experience with inventory management and stock optimization.
