We are seeking a skilled Media and Communications professional to lead our media operations and drive the story of our organization forward.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about sport, storytelling, and connecting with people. As our Media Manager, you will be responsible for crafting compelling narratives, managing media relationships, and being the driving force behind how our story is told.

  • About the Role
  • You will work closely with players, coaches, executives, and media outlets to ensure our message is authentic, engaging, and on point.
  • You will be the go-to advisor for players, coaches, and execs, preparing them for media engagements and supporting them with messaging and media training.
  • You will partner with internal departments to identify and share great stories, successes, and initiatives with the public.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day media operations, press events, interview coordination, and media strategy execution.
  • Build strong, proactive relationships with media partners to drive meaningful coverage of our people and programs.
  • Guide and support the media team, including our expanding operations, while managing broadcast and media responsibilities.
  • Monitor media coverage, manage sensitive issues with discretion, and report regularly to senior leadership.

What We're Looking For

  • You have experience in a media or communications role, ideally within elite sport.
  • You have a deep understanding of media operations and the broader national/local media landscape.
  • You possess outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • You have strong organisational skills and a calm, proactive approach to managing live, high-stakes media moments.
  • You have proven leadership and mentoring experience.
