About the Role

As a Senior Storytelling Manager, you will be responsible for leading our media operations, managing press events, coordinating interviews, and executing media strategies.

You will build strong relationships with media partners to drive meaningful coverage of our people and programs. Your expertise in media relations will help identify and share great stories, successes, and initiatives with the public.

This role requires a proactive approach to managing live, high-stakes media moments, as well as excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. You will work closely with players, coaches, and executives to ensure consistency in everything we say and share.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day media operations, including press conferences, interview coordination, and media strategy execution.
  • Build strong relationships with media partners to drive meaningful coverage of our people and programs.
  • Be the go-to advisor for players, coaches, and executives, preparing them for media engagements and supporting them with messaging and media training.
  • Guide and support the media team, including AFLW operations, while managing match-day broadcast and media responsibilities.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking an experienced media professional with a deep understanding of AFL media operations and the broader national/local media landscape. You should have outstanding communication skills, a calm and proactive approach to managing high-pressure situations, and proven leadership experience.

You will bring a passion for storytelling, people, and sport, as well as flexibility and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
