Job Title

Civil Engineers are required to conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine project scope and cost estimates.

They will lead design, development, modification, evaluation, and constructability reviews of civil engineering components and processes.

This position involves full-time work with remote options as per our telework policy, requiring at least three days of in-person attendance per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops original designs layouts, details, drawings, and specifications for structures, buildings, roadways, and railroads.
  • Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates Civil Engineering components and processes utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards, and guides.
  • Uses advanced knowledge of structural analysis, including statics, dynamics, and materials engineering to design structures.
  • Determines the appropriate use of various structural elements such as steel, wood, masonry, and concrete.
  • Originates and checks complex structural engineering deliverables, such as steel and concrete calculations, specifications, and material requisitions.
  • Analyzes problems with conflicting design requirements and suggests solutions.
  • Plans, coordinates, or prepares equipment, work, and material specifications, bid evaluations, and award recommendations.
  • Prepares procurement and subcontract requisition documents and performs associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations.
  • Assists project and construction management in identifying and complying with project Civil Engineering requirements and addressing issues during project execution.
