About the Opportunity

Pursue a challenging career opportunity with Parramatta City Council as a Senior Project Officer, focusing on environmental sustainability. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the development and monitoring of key strategies, plans, and policies within the City Strategy team.

This permanent full-time position offers an attractive salary range from $117,832.69 to $129,758.40 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation. Join a dynamic team that drives progress and responds to issues related to Council's environmental priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver cross-functional projects, policies, and/or strategies with a focus on green and blue infrastructure planning.
  • Analyse complex data and provide high-level application of analytical, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, negotiate, build relationships, and influence others through engaging approaches.
  • Manage partnerships, including internal and external stakeholders, to achieve project goals.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading the development and implementation of environmental sustainability or resilience-related policy, plans, or strategies.
  • Degree qualifications in urban planning, environmental science, project management, or a related field.
  • Able to work in Local Government and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
