Production Operations Manager

Our manufacturing facility in Virginia is seeking a Night Shift Team Leader to manage the operational production plan through the optimum use of labour in accordance with specified Safety and Quality requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of behavioural safety and ethics, as well as experience with GMP and quality reporting systems.

They will be responsible for maintaining a strong Safety and Quality Culture, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, and monitoring and tracking daily production outputs, waste, and yield throughout the shift.

Additionally, they will need to ensure lines/machines run in an efficient and uninterrupted manner, acting as required to ensure targets are achieved using demonstrated problem-solving tools to reduce inefficiencies.

They will also be responsible for completing weekly labour planning process - managing leave, utilising available labour, mitigating site idle labour, reducing overtime and outsourced labour costs.

We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, including active listening, written, verbal, and formal presentation, and experience with Continuous Improvement Systems, including Lean Tools (5S, Root Cause Analysis, Problem Solving, Visual Management, Standard Work).

Previous exposure to leading, coaching, developing and inspiring team members, building capability, driving accountability, and creating a great place to work would be advantageous.
