Bundaberg Sugar Group Ltd is a leading grower, miller, refiner and marketer of sugar and related products in Australia.

The company operates at all levels of the raw sugar industry, spanning the full sugar processing cycle from cane growing to packaging and distribution.

As a Metallurgical Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the company's metallurgical operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing the Spectrometer Room to ensure customer requirements are met.

- Setting up, operating and maintaining the spectrometer machine.

- Obtaining, measuring and preparing samples for testing.

- Analyzing, recording and reporting test results.

- Investigating material failures and recommending corrective action.

- Developing and improving processes within the spectro room.

- Ensuring compliance with company safety, environment and quality policies.

- Overseeing melt deck operations, including equipment maintenance and ordering supplies.

To succeed in this role, you must be:

- Trade qualified in Metallurgy Engineering or related field.

- Experienced in the manufacturing industry, preferably in a similar role.

- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications and other computer programs.

- A strong analytical problem-solver with excellent communication skills.

- Able to work well in a team environment and with minimal supervision.

- Physically fit and able to work in various conditions.
