Job Opportunity

Kitchen stewards play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen environments.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning duties are carried out within kitchen areas, food preparation spaces and scullery.
  • The dishwashing machine is operated as per instruction manual specifications.
  • Pantry duties include maintaining cleanliness of pantry, fridges and freezers.
  • Support is provided in food preparation as directed by the executive chef or supervisory team.
  • Kitchen cleanliness is maintained according to health and hygiene regulations.
  • Sanitised clean and dry operational equipment is sourced.
  • Counting, sorting and preparing operating equipment as required.
  • Equipment and crockery storage takes place hygienically and safely.
  • Chemicals and equipment handling is performed according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Contributions are made towards cost control through energy conservation and careful use of water, cleaning materials and other appliances.
  • Garbage disposal occurs from all kitchen areas each shift.
