About The Opportunity

Programmed Facility Management, a leading provider of asset management and facilities maintenance services, is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our Minesite Village Management Team in Western Australia.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality food and menu planning, preparation, and presentation for the residents of the Minesite Village. This position requires maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards, inventory management, budgeting, recipe adaptation, dish presentation, knowledge of various cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety practices, adhering to HACCP guidelines and procedures.
  • Producing high-quality, nutritious, and well-presented meals for the residents.
  • Designing and implementing continuous menu improvements.
  • Effectively managing kitchen operations, logistics, stock control, and budgeting.
  • Providing leadership, coaching, and support to staff within the kitchen.
  • Collaborating with the Head Chef and Village Managers as required.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef in a mass catering environment, preferably in a Minesite Village setting.
  • Certificate III or IV Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
  • Food Safety Supervisor certification.
  • Australian Working Rights.
  • VALID C Class License.
  • Ability to pass comprehensive pre-employment medicals, including instant drug and alcohol screening.
  • Current satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months).
  • First Aid certification (desirable).
