Job Title

This is a challenging opportunity to work in surface mining, reporting to the Supervisor.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality maintenance and repairs to poly pipelines, diesel pumps as used for dewatering in open cut mining operations.

They will assist in other areas of the operation as required, ensuring operational targets are met in a safe, environmentally compliant and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain poly pipelines, diesel pumping systems, and associated plant (valving/control) for open cut mining operations.
  • Fabricate (polyweld) pipelines and components for open pit mine dewatering systems.
  • Meet maintenance standards by scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and timely repairs.
  • Provide accurate maintenance knowledge and practical application to minimise downtime and potential loss of production.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping throughout workshops to ensure a safe work environment and effectively manage risks.
Requirements
  • Completion of secondary education – year 10.
  • C Class Drivers Licence or HR desirable.
  • Certificate in Butt Welding of Pipelines and Piping Components.
  • Trade qualification would be highly desirable.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate.
