Job Title: Mining Systems Technician

This role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced technician to implement and maintain our innovation pipeline projects, working closely with surface mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, preventive measures, and condition reporting of machinery and fixed plant.
  • Communications Network Fault-Finding: Identify, diagnose, repair, and maintain communications networks (Spectrum Analyzer, OTDR experience required).
  • Operational Technology Design and Installation: Design, install, and repair Operational Technology systems on surface mining equipment, including Wenco fleet management, 2-way radios, collision awareness systems.
  • Communication Equipment Installation: Install communication equipment on trailers (4G LTE, MW links, Fibre Optics, Cabling).
  • Radio Programming: Program Motorola Digital Radios.
  • Commissioning and Record-Keeping: Commission new communication technology and record-keeping in CMMS- AMT/SAP.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience in radio communications, telemetry networks, maintenance in mining environment.
  • Certifications: Open cabling ticket with fibre endorsement, structured cabling, coaxial (desirable), WA "A" Class Electrical Workers License (highly desirable).
  • Qualifications: Qualification in IT, Communications, or Instrumentation (desirable).
  • Licenses: Current manual C Class Driver's License.
