About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Advisor to join our team at Bethsalem Care. As an HR Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing strategic HR support to our organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and driving business growth through effective talent management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to management and staff on employment-related matters, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process, including advertising, shortlisting, and interviewing candidates.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation, training, and induction.
  • Provide support to managers with interpretation of the Fair Work Act and Bethsalem Care Enterprise Agreements.
  • Manage the payroll process, including processing payroll, managing employee benefits, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback to employees.
  • Manage employee relations, including resolving conflicts and addressing employee concerns.
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Team.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced HR Advisor who possesses the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Formal qualification in human resources or a related field.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Knowledge of team management principles and practices.
  • High-level knowledge of human resources processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the Fair Work Act and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of payroll, work-cover, and superannuation end-to-end processing.
  • Working knowledge of general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Requirements of relevant business rules, including those imposed by Services Australia, the Fair Work Commission, and the Australian Taxation Office.
  • Wide breadth of knowledge of office administration procedures.
  • An understanding of the confidentiality requirements concerning resident and employee files.
  • An understanding of quality systems that support business and clinical operations.
  • A high level of accuracy with attention to detail.
  • Time management skills, including the ability to manage a variety of tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership and change management skills.
  • Computer skills, including interrogation of data, use of Excel spreadsheets, and communication tools.
  • The ability to build strong professional relationships with all stakeholders.
