UGL's Telecommunications business is a trusted provider of construction and maintenance services to Telco providers nationally.

We are seeking a Senior Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our HSE team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor operational teams on best practices for risk mitigation, focusing on high-risk activities such as working at heights, electrical systems, and trenching.
  • Oversee the onboarding and safety management of contractors, including site inspections, tool checks, and coaching.
  • Develop, review, and update management plans, risk registers, and SWMS, with a strong focus on legal compliance and documentation upkeep.
  • Conduct end-of-month reporting and maintain a strong focus on continuous improvement.
About You

You are a proactive and solutions-focused HSE professional with excellent stakeholder management skills.

Your qualifications and attributes include:

  • Diploma in Work Health and Safety (WHS)
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a high-risk industry
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Field experience and interaction with subcontractors
  • Construction White Card
  • Australian C class driver's license
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, in particular Excel & Word
