Senior Health Safety Wellbeing Advisor

At MECCA Brands Pty Ltd, we are committed to creating a safe and healthy work environment for our employees. We are seeking a Senior Health Safety Wellbeing Advisor to join our team and drive our health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, with experience in a warehouse or high-risk operational environment. They will be responsible for ensuring daily compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, providing expert advice on safety-related matters, and conducting safety audits and risk assessments.
The Senior Health Safety Wellbeing Advisor will work closely with our operations team to identify and mitigate risks, develop and implement safety procedures, and educate employees on health and safety protocols. They will also be responsible for investigating incidents, providing recommendations for improvement, and ensuring that actions are captured and followed through.
We are looking for a motivated and autonomous individual who can adapt to changing environments and work flexibly. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily compliance with workplace health and safety regulations
- Provide expert advice on safety-related matters
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments
- Develop and implement safety procedures
- Investigate incidents and provide recommendations for improvement
- Ensure that actions are captured and followed through
Requirements:
- Certificate IV or higher in Occupational Health and Safety or demonstrated knowledge and experience
- Previous experience as a Safety professional in a warehouse environment or high-risk industrial environment
- ICAM Lead Investigator or Taproot Incident Investigation qualification (desired)
- Inspection and report writing skills
- Experience working with dangerous goods
- Strong understanding of relevant state and national WHS legislation in Australia and New Zealand
