Mobile Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

About the Role:

The Mobile Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the overall performance of mobile assets, focusing on safety, availability, and cost management. This role requires a strong understanding of maintenance strategies and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage contractor relationships, including quarterly reviews and invoice approval.
  • Monitor and address KPI variances, labor overruns, and review contract claims promptly.
  • Optimize pricing for non-standard responsibilities and allocate costs accurately within relevant departments.
  • Approve variations and review purchase orders before finalization.
  • Oversee tyre performance, purchasing, maintenance, and contractor management to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular pit tours to assess hauling conditions and collaborate with the Open Pit Superintendent.
  • Ensure critical spare stock levels are maintained to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years in a supervisory role within the mining industry or similar.
  • Trade qualified with AUR30999 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with open-pit mining equipment maintenance, heavy mobile, and light vehicle fleets.
  • Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class "C" Driver's Licence.
  • Previous experience with CMMS, Pronto, or similar software.
  • Experience with contractual administration.
