About the Role

The Department of Defence of Australia is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic finance professional to join the Navy/Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Finance team as an Assistant Director Finance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a number of small and dynamic teams in the provision of strategic financial services to key clients, both uniformed and civilian.
  • Assist clients in the identification of financial risks and opportunities, understanding of cost drivers and impacts on capability, and achievement of End of Financial Year outcomes.
  • Provide accurate, timely and high quality financial information to support decision-making.
  • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to achieve organisational goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
