Job Title: Finance Director

Sheffieldgreen is seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to lead our financial management team in Australia. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability
  • Lead the financial management team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Manage all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Establish and maintain a robust compliance framework to ensure adherence to local laws and regulations
  • Develop and implement effective financial planning and analysis processes to inform business decisions
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and tax authorities
  • Ensure effective treasury management and risk control
  • Lead project financing and financial advisory activities to meet timely funding requirements
  • Develop and maintain effective performance management systems to drive business performance
Requirements:
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Business Administration from a recognized University
  • Professional qualification such as CFA/CMA/CA/ACCA
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in financial management, with 5 years in a similar position/responsibility
  • Familiarity with Australian corporate and tax laws and regulations
  • Familiarity with local GAAP and IFRS
  • Familiarity with market-leading ERP systems and Financial Planning and Consolidation systems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to international companies with large complexity and to multicultural business environments
  • Knowledge of the power and utility business
  • Big4 experience in the field of Audit, Tax, and Assurance
Personal Qualities:
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently with confidence
  • Superior analytical and synthesis skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with sensitivity to different cultures
  • Ability to build trust and effective personal relations both within the organization and with all relevant external stakeholders
