Job Description

A vital role in rehabilitation and transition lies at the heart of this position.

This full-time opportunity is part of a team dedicated to delivering outstanding care for patients. Our team oversees injury management, organisational design, workplace relations, and workforce transition initiatives.

The ADAPT team within our wider business area comprises injury management and transition specialists passionate about their work.

This senior role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Workforce Transition & Strategies, and is responsible for delivering AV's rehabilitation and transition projects/programs.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Managing projects/programs using established project management frameworks and associated templates and procedures to meet desired objectives
  • Creating and implementing new professional initiatives, policies, and procedures to better support workforce transition and rehabilitation
  • Providing holistic pathway transition and mentoring, including retirement planning, claim management, and employment support services
  • Developing and managing effective relationships with key stakeholders and providing specialist advice relating to WorkCover processes and workforce transition

Requirements include:

  • Significant understanding of redeployment and mobility issues, organisational objectives, and relevant staff agreements impacting these issues
  • Applied knowledge of worker's compensation legislation and best practices
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects/programs in large, complex organisations
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and address sensitive issues with staff and managers
  • Knowledge of the Victorian labour market and healthcare industry
  • Experience in providing employment support services and career counselling/coaching to professionals
