Ginning Assistant

In a dynamic and supportive environment, we are seeking an experienced individual to fill the role of Ginning Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a mechanical background or trade experience to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the gin plant, including safety protocols and maintenance of equipment. Additionally, they will supervise employees and assist with work permits for high-risk activities.

We are looking for a self-starter who can work independently, take initiative, and challenge themselves when required. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Prior experience supervising staff in a maintenance/production environment is desired but not essential. Sound computer skills are also a plus.

• Gin operation and safety
• Maintenance – constantly monitor and maintain machinery and equipment to the highest standard to facilitate continuity of production and quality
• Employee supervision
• Work permits - Assist ginner and site management with ensuring work permits are completed for all high-risk activity

• Mechanical experience or trade background
• Ability to identify/control weaknesses in process and implement best practices
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently takes initiative and challenges when required
• Good work ethic and team player
• Ability and willingness to interact effectively with all levels of employees and external stakeholders
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy

• Prior experience supervising staff in a maintenance/production environment
