Job Role Overview

The Assistant Ginner position offers a unique opportunity to develop your career in a dynamic manufacturing space.

This role is responsible for the efficient operation of all areas under their control as Assistant Ginner. You will be trained, mentored, and supported by your team while staying in the local community and acquiring lifelong skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Gin operation and safety
  • Maintenance – constantly monitor and maintain machinery and equipment to facilitate continuity of production
  • Employee supervision
  • Work permits - Assist ginner and site management with ensuring work permits are completed for all high-risk activities
Essential Skills
  • Mechanical experience or trade background
  • Ability to identify/control weaknesses in process and implement best practices
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently takes initiative and challenges when required
  • Good work ethic and team player
  • Ability and willingness to interact effectively with all levels of employees
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable Skills
  • Prior experience supervising staff in a maintenance/production environment
  • Sound computer skills
