Job Title: Procurement and Finance Specialist

The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations is seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Finance Specialist to join their team. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring that procurement activities, financial matters, and governance activities are managed and reported in a coordinated and consistent manner.

This position requires the ability to work closely with other teams to provide oversight and direction to the leadership group, ensuring that the right work is done and that it is done correctly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct procurement activities including approaches to market, contract evaluations, and negotiations in line with departmental policies, procedures, delegations, and legislation.
  • Develop and review procurement documents, standard operating procedures for the team, and provide advice and support to stakeholders on all aspects of strategic source and vendor management.
  • Supervise and guide Panel members during evaluation processes and provide analysis and advice on current and planned financial performance of programs.
  • Respond to a range of external reporting requests and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
