The Role

As a Cost Controller, you will report directly to the Head of Cost Control and be dedicated to a project. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up the Cost Control System (tools, sheets), project procedures, and CBS/WBS;
  • Estimating the impact of changes and modifications on the cost of the project and potential revenue claimable to the client;
  • Providing project support by monitoring and reporting on cost, project progress, invoicing, change control, and variations;
  • Distributing the initial budget towards discipline lead, procurement team, construction, and installation activities;
  • Conducting analysis on Risks and Opportunities;
  • Following up commitments versus current budgets and reporting variance and potential impact to PM/PCM and Technip Energies management;
  • Estimating overall costs (forecast) and quantities to end of the project;
  • Preparing/maintaining and issuing Project Cash Flow for Finance/treasury department;
  • Payment claim and sales invoice preparation;
  • Following any specific project/contract requirements and/or specific reports.

Our ideal candidate will have unrestricted Australian working rights, a full understanding of cost control principles, management, and project reporting, as well as 4+ years of experience in cost control. Previous project-based cost control experience is highly advantageous, and prior experience working in the Energy industry is desirable. Advanced MS Excel skills and a detail-minded approach to work with strong cost analysis skills are also essential.

About You

What We Offer
