
Sales Performance Expert

Job Description:
- We are seeking a Sales Performance Expert to contribute to accurate short- and long-term sales forecasts. This involves reviewing customer sell out, sku performance, minimizing error risk, and air freight spend in partnership with Planning.
- The ideal candidate will partner with cross-functional teams to refine demand plans based on promotional calendars, seasonality, and market conditions, ensuring alignment to inventory investments.
- This role requires collaboration with Planning to improve sales forecasting accuracy by identifying trends, variances, and market signals, sharing findings with the wider business.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track sales performance, sell-through, stock cover, and retailer promotional effectiveness.
- Analyze category trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics to deliver actionable insights to sales and marketing teams.
- Identify opportunities and risks through data modeling, scenario planning, and ROI analysis of promotional investments.
- Provide detailed post-launch reports for NPI launches, detailing successes, failures, and recommended next steps.
Collaboration and Partnership:
- You will closely collaborate with Finance to ensure alignment between sales forecast and revenue targets.
- Support pricing, margin analysis, and promotional ROI tracking.
- Contribute to monthly business reviews with relevant data packs, KPIs, and commentary.
Sales Support and Funnel Optimization:
- Provide data support for range reviews, buyer meetings, and commercial proposals to KAMs and BDMs.
- Optimize sales funnel visibility by tracking pipeline progression, opportunity conversion, and channel health.
- Assist in developing sales materials and pitch decks with compelling data narratives.
Key Capabilities:
- Data Analysis – Strong numerical, data modeling, and reporting capabilities; able to turn complexity into clarity.
- Forecasting Precision – Experience managing forecasts in environments with long product lead times and channel variability.
- Business Acumen – Understands key levers of revenue, margin, ROI, and promotional effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Collaboration – Able to align and communicate effectively across sales, planning, and finance teams.
- Systems Proficiency – Advanced Excel skills required; experience with BI tools and ERP/CRM systems highly regarded.
- Commercial Thinking – Balances analytical rigor with commercial context to drive decisions.
- Initiative and Ownership – Self-starter with high attention to detail and accountability for outcomes.
