Industrial Light & Magic is seeking a skilled CG Environment Artist to join our team. As an expert in landscape creation, you will have the opportunity to showcase your artistic and technical abilities in creating high-quality photo-real environments.

About the Job

We are looking for a talented individual with a strong foundation in traditional and digital art skills, as well as experience in computer graphics. You will work closely with senior artists and generalists to create seamless environments that integrate into assigned shotwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create high-quality computer graphics within a shot using various software programs.
  • Work under the supervision of Senior Level Artists and Generalists to achieve aesthetic solutions.
  • Mentor Apprentice and Jr. Artists and assist them with their shots.
  • Meet defined milestones within a timeline.
  • Source suitable reference materials for required assets.
  • Attend dailies and participate in creative problem-solving.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A proven ability in one or more CG techniques, including modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, look development, or compositing.
  • High-level problem-solving or creative thinking skills.
  • Fluent in Photoshop.
  • Fluent in Houdini, 3dsmax, Maya, or similar software.
  • Comparable software experience considered.
  • A degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience in Computer Graphics, Fine Arts, Design, or Photography.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
