Job Summary:

Industrial Light & Magic is seeking a highly skilled CG Texture Artist to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for executing the desired look of complex CG models, including creatures and hard surface models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the production team to achieve advanced texture artistry, including complex creatures and hard surface models.
  • Participate in determining design solutions and provide feedback to team members.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level artists to ensure consistent productivity and high-quality work.
  • Meet deadlines and maintain a consistent level of productivity while producing high-quality work.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of relevant professional VFX experience and a college-level diploma or higher in computer graphics, fine arts, design, or photography, or related field; OR at least five years of relevant professional VFX experience.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding and experience in painting, illustration, or design through a demo reel and portfolio.
  • Familiarity with film production and computer graphics, as well as proficiency in Maya, Mari, Zbrush, Photoshop, and UV unwrapping tools.
  • Ability to navigate complex pipelines and learn quickly.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Modeling skills and knowledge of Katana/Look Dev.
