About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Corporate Accountant to join our Finance team at CareFlight. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial results, including monthly finance reports and statutory financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Preparation of monthly reporting timetable, company results, and board finance report.
  2. Deliver analysis with key insights and recommendations to c-suite and board for decision making purposes.
  3. Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow projections, covenant calculations, and bank reporting.
  4. Perform hedge accounting and ensure foreign currency transactions are properly accounted for.
  5. Prepare standardised monthly financial reporting, annual budgets, and forecasting for corporate departments.
  6. Review monthly financial performance of corporate departments and provide commentary against budget or forecast.
  7. Ensure all potential risks and opportunities are highlighted well in advance and quantified.
  8. Preparation of required monthly journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  9. Preparation and lodgement of monthly GST return and FBT management.

Requirements

  1. Eight years + experience in analyst roles.
  2. Undergraduate degree in Finance/Accounting.
  3. CA/CPA or equivalent qualification.
  4. Strong technical accounting and GST/FBT tax knowledge.
  5. Balance between big picture and attention to detail.
  6. Ability to identify and resolve issues.
  7. Strong organisational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  8. Strong interpersonal skills.
