The Key Learning Area Coordinator is a position of significant influence within the School's Management Structure. The Coordinator leads by example, motivating staff and students to achieve high standards in learning, Christian service, and relationships.
As a member of our Secondary School team, the Coordinator collaborates closely with the Wellbeing Coordinators and teaching team. Together, they create and sustain an enriching learning environment marked by excellence in learning, assessment, evaluation, reporting, and prioritising child safety.
We seek a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher who can lead a team of teachers in providing quality Christ-centred education. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching HSIE, leadership skills, and the ability to dynamically lead a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of teachers in delivering quality Christ-centred education
- Collaborate with the Wellbeing Coordinators and teaching team to create an enriching learning environment
- Develop and implement curriculum plans that align with the school's vision and values
- Provide guidance and support to students and staff
- Monitor student progress and well-being
Requirements:
- A valid NSW Working With Children Check
- Experience in teaching HSIE (Junior Geography and History, Business Studies, Legal Studies, etc.)
- Leadership experience within a faculty
- Demonstrated skills in programming, instructional leadership, and coaching
