The Leader of Learning HSIE must be an enthusiastic, talented professional able to lead collaboratively and bring innovation and creativity to their learning areas with experience in teaching Secondary HSIE (preference for Modern History and/or Legal Studies). The role is permanent full-time commencing Term 1, 2025.

- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission of Catholic Education and a willingness to actively support and promote the Catholic, academic and pastoral dimension of College life.
- Have experience teaching HSIE and ability to lead a team.
- See themselves as learners and be committed to ongoing professional learning
- To collaborate and work as a team with all leaders and teachers to improve the learning of all students
- Leads the implementation of the New Curriculum for the HSIE faculty
- To develop the skills of the faculty through collaboration, observation and peer assessment
- Leads and supports teachers in maintaining compliance.
- Leads and supports teachers in the teaching, learning, assessment and reporting cycle.
- Integrate digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student learning and professional learning;
- Lead the use of diagnostic data, summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform 'next steps' for students;
- Regularly provide team teachers and students with support, feedback as part of the teaching and learning cycle;
- Demonstrate an understanding of curriculum and pedagogy
- Respond to complex real-world questions and authentic problems;
