At Perth Airport, we are seeking a Commis Chef to collaborate with senior chefs in our kitchen.

The Opportunity
  • We offer part-time employment opportunities for the role of Commis Chef at Perth Airport.

As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of dishes in a high-volume production setting. You will follow recipes for menu preparation, ensuring adherence to cooking guidelines and standards. We expect you to execute food preparation tasks with a focus on presentation and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area. Additionally, you will conduct temperature and quality checks, manage cross-contamination to ensure workplace health and safety compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • You must have previous experience as a Commis Chef.
  • A minimum Level 3 Certificate in Commercial Cookery is required.
  • You should have a solid background in kitchen operations.
  • You should have a passion for food and creative flair.
  • Experience meeting financial targets for food and labor costs is essential.
  • You need to be able to work a 7-day rotating roster.
