The Opportunity

In this newly established high-profile role, you will work closely with the Manager and build a team of construction auditors and administrators to manage the construction phase of our diverse and complex portfolio. Reporting to the Manager, Capital Delivery, this position oversees construction administration, supervision, and constructability of our Portfolio Capital Delivery Program.

Effective communication with project sponsors, owners, engineers, and construction partners ensures accountability and instills a culture of excellence, delivering projects to exemplary standards and providing high-quality outcomes that demonstrate community benefit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead constructability studies, master planning, schematic design, and concept design under our Project Management Framework.
  • Coordinate diverse teams of staff, consultants, and contractors to deliver projects responsibly and inclusively, managing environmental, commercial, and legal requirements efficiently.
  • Lead consultation and engagement with internal and external stakeholders and the community to inform project construction and delivery.
  • Audit Capital Projects Contract Works to ensure compliance with engineering plans, specifications, quality, material selection, and Council standards.
  • Conduct Pre-Commencement meetings, Practical Completion inspections, and End of Defects Liability Period inspections.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualification in project management, construction management, engineering, or a relevant discipline, combined with significant experience in operational areas and leadership.
  • Substantial experience in construction management, including capital project planning and delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, guidance, and direction in project management across a medium/large organization.
  • Highly developed skills in stakeholder management, ensuring key stakeholders are engaged and supported in capital project planning and delivery.
  • Current valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
