Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating the production and delivery of reinforcing steel to meet customer specifications. This will involve interpreting customer-approved specifications, structural and architectural drawings, and preparing estimates and bar schedules detailing diameters, grades, shape of bars for production.

  • Interpreting customer-approved specifications, structural and architectural drawings;
  • Preparation of estimates, bar schedules detailing diameters, grades, shape of bars for production;
  • Accurately taking off reinforcing steel and preparation of cutting list (works schedule) of reinforcing for manufacture and delivery;
  • Communicating with customers, production, site personnel, and sales teams;
  • Actively promoting Ausreo's products and services to customers to generate maximum sales and margins.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Possess practical and structural knowledge of products and services within the construction and building industry;
  • Extended knowledge of construction sequencing and structural properties and designs;
  • Familiarity with all types of structural drawings for construction including domestic, residential, multi-storey, and civil works;
  • Prior experience within the construction industry, particularly in concreting, steel fixing, construction management, and civil works backgrounds;
  • Customer-oriented skills and ability to competently liaise with internal staff and customers in a professional and pleasant manner;
  • Ability to work in a team environment that fosters getting the job done;
  • Relationship-building skills;
  • The ability to multitask between different tasks;
  • Problem-solving skills;
  • Self-motivation and ability to work unsupervised.
