Job Opportunity

Are you a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills? We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic individuals to fill Policy Advisor roles at the APS5 and APS6 levels.

About the Role

As a Policy Advisor, you will support portfolio ministers and the Commission by preparing high-quality policy advice, briefings, and correspondence. You will also deliver effective research and analysis, liaise with stakeholders in industry, state, territory, and Commonwealth governments, and provide secretariat support for whole-of-government committees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing evidence-based policy advice and briefings for senior executives and ministers.
  • Delivering effective research and analysis, and liaising with stakeholders in industry, state, territory, and Commonwealth governments.
  • Providing secretariat support for whole-of-government committees, such as the Tourism Ministers' Meeting and First Nations Visitor Economy Partnership.
  • Managing complex projects in an uncertain environment.
  • Being agile, a team player, and contributing to other divisional priorities as needed.
Eligibility Criteria

Our successful candidate must be an Australian citizen. Security clearance is also required.
