Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated professionals to join our team as Strategic Policy Advisors. As a key member of our policy unit, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on trade and investment policy development, supporting the implementation of government priorities, and building strategic relationships with stakeholders across the government sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with senior officials and policymakers to develop and implement effective trade and investment policies that support Australia's economic prosperity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key government agencies, industry partners, and other stakeholders to ensure Austrade's position is represented in whole-of-government initiatives.
  • Support the development of high-quality policy briefs, research reports, and other materials that inform government decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate and deliver policy initiatives that drive economic growth and job creation.
Requirements
  • Australian citizenship is essential.
  • Security clearance at the Baseline level or higher is required.
  • Prior experience in trade and investment policy, government relations, or a related field is highly desirable.
