About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Habit Coach to join our team at Ellie Mental Health - 036. As a Habit Coach, you will play a vital part in enabling NDIS participants to develop greater independence and work towards reaching their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support NDIS participants in Albury and surrounding areas.
  • Work at participant's home or a community location, requiring reliable transportation.
  • Support participants across all ages and stages of life.
  • Work under the guidance of the primary therapist, implementing the therapy plan and varying sessions depending on the participant's individual goals.

Requirements:

  • Be studying a university degree in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or Physiotherapy (minimum 2nd year).
  • OR have completed a Certificate 3 or 4 in Allied Health Assistance or an equivalent qualification, with demonstrated experience in a similar position.
  • Have consistent and ongoing availability to work, with a minimum of two days a week available to support participants during their afternoon routines.
  • Be open to travel to regional/surrounding areas.
  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence, empathy, and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Maintain clear focus on the goals and outcomes of our participants.
  • Act professionally and follow company protocol.
  • Be self-motivated, reliable, and able to work autonomously.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated passion for working within the disability sector and making a difference in people's lives.
  • A valid Australian driver's license and access to your own vehicle.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Working with Children's Check.
