About Everyday Independence
We are a dynamic organisation committed to changing the game for people with disabilities. With over 40 hubs across Australia, we provide a range of services including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Positive Behaviour Supports, Early Childhood Supports and Habit Coaching.
About the Role
As a Habit Coach at Everyday Independence, you will play a vital part in enabling participants to develop greater independence and work towards reaching their full potential. Your role will involve supporting participants in Albury and surrounding areas, working at their home or a community location, and supporting participants across all ages and stages of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement therapy plans provided by primary therapists
- Support participants in developing independence and achieving their goals
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic support
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with participants and their families
Requirements
- Studying a university degree in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or Physiotherapy (minimum 2nd year)
- OR have completed a Certificate 3 or 4 in Allied Health Assistance or an equivalent qualification, with demonstrated experience in a similar position
- Consistent and ongoing availability to work
- Ability to travel to regional/surrounding areas
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and maintain clear focus on participant goals
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
- Demonstrated passion for working within the disability sector and making a difference in people's lives
- A valid Australian driver's license and access to your own vehicle
- NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children's Check
