Mathematician Position

We are seeking a skilled Mathematician to join our team.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will possess strong mathematical skills and experience in game development. They will be responsible for creating mathematical game structures, working with cross-functional teams, and developing mathematical models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement mathematical logic for prize determination according to specifications.
  • Collaborate with game designers to create game concepts and specifications.
  • Develop and test mathematical and statistical models to ensure functionality and adherence to specifications.
  • Assist in writing and testing production code using computing languages such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate math implementation and answer questions.
  • Utilize proprietary tools to generate slot, bingo, and lottery math files as needed.
  • Assist in developing and generating theoretical par sheets demonstrating probabilities and mathematical payout via calculation and/or simulation.
  • Create documentation for product math, math processes, and tools.
  • Test products in development and provide feedback.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Experience creating casino-style slot games is highly regarded.
  • 3-5 years of mathematical game development experience or new graduates with an interest in gaming and casino slot games.
  • Ability to absorb new mathematical concepts and put them into practice.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.

Additional qualifications that would be beneficial include:

  • 2nd degree in Computer Science.
  • Professional probability & statistical experience.
  • Experience with C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL or C++.
