About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to coordinate the planning and execution of preventative and breakdown maintenance at our Sunshine North site. The successful candidate will work closely with site engineers, trade support, third-party contractors, and production teams to ensure seamless maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for:

  • Championing the weekly planning cycle, extended maintenance shutdowns, and weekly planning meetings with production.
  • Developing targeted weekly plans for various departments in the plant, including in-house mechanical and electrical trades, as well as external contractors.
  • Providing accurate weekly maintenance KPI completion reports, tracking PM and regulatory compliance, capturing all break-in work, and schedule adherence.
  • Timely prioritization of repair of faulty plant and equipment and predictable delivery of preventative maintenance.
  • Maintaining and documenting equipment specifications, history, parts/materials in the MEX database.
  • Providing a hands-on approach to troubleshooting equipment while supervising in-field activities to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Actively participating in daily morning maintenance meetings to prioritize and coordinate works required for the day.
  • Coordinating maintenance through site contractors and acting as a point of contact for third-party service providers.
  • Learning and developing an understanding of site processes to optimize the planning approach and deliver tailored maintenance plans.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant trade background with a superior technical mechanical aptitude and logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Supervisory experience with 3-5 years of industry experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to work autonomously, while planning, organizing, and prioritizing to meet required deadlines.
  • Previous experience in dangerous goods and/or Ex-process plants is desirable.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of HSE with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Thorough, organized, dependable, clear communicator, results-oriented, with the ability to work calmly under pressure in both team and autonomous environments.
