Program Director Role Overview

You will be a senior leader responsible for overseeing and directing complex programs in the rail sector.

In this position, you will work closely with various stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that meet the needs of customers and drive business outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will include leading cross-functional teams, providing expert advice, and managing risks to ensure successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in program leadership, with experience in developing and implementing strategic plans, managing budgets, and driving business growth.

The role requires a strong understanding of the rail industry, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading high-level consultations and negotiations with contractors and internal stakeholders
  • Providing expert advice and solutions to project issues and challenges
  • Ensuring risks are managed and project delivery impacts are minimized
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business Management or relevant discipline, or extensive experience in leading complex transport operations activities
  • Proven experience leading complex rail or infrastructure projects
  • Possess a valid Australian motor vehicle driver's license and be willing to work outside regular working hours and travel on occasion
