Disability Care Professional

The Disability Support Specialist plays a crucial role in the care of children with complex disabilities who require additional support to sustain their care at home or living outside.
This includes collaborating with NDIS registered providers delivering services to children with complex disabilities and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to children at risk of or requiring alternative care placement, including early intervention and family preservation support.
- Developing plans for children unable to live in the family home due to complex disability needs, including monitoring and oversight of board and lodging arrangements.
- Coordinating case support to ensure smooth transitions between care arrangements, enabling children to return to living with their families or transition into adult services meeting long-term needs.
Requirements:
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
- Valid work permit/visa.
- Working with Children Check.
