A fantastic opportunity exists for a key role in our marketing team. We are seeking a highly skilled Local Area Marketing Coordinator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

This role has been available within the Australian market for over 30 years, making us Australia's largest independently owned trades network. Our national-wide franchise retail network outperforms most retailers within its category, with a strong focus on customer experience and staff development.

The primary purpose of the Local Area Marketing Coordinator is to be the primary contact and source of knowledge for stores in terms of all things marketing. You will advise, plan, develop & execute local campaigns on behalf of our stores and analyse results to ensure successful outcomes and future improvements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Regional & Local Area Marketing Manager: Developing and implementing broader plans and strategies
  • Project Management: Managing local area marketing campaigns from start to finish
  • Calendar Management: Developing and maintaining the LAM calendar of events
  • Liaising with Stores: Working closely with stores to develop campaign design briefs according to timelines
  • Design Department Collaboration: Coordinating with the design department for the development and design of local area marketing materials
  • Accuracy Checks: Ensuring accuracy of all marketing materials
  • Communication: Managing the flow of drafts between stores, design team, and buying team
  • Proofreading: Direct proofing of final drafts to ensure content accuracy
  • Media Coordination: Working closely with our media agency to coordinate LAM campaign media requirements (radio, press, TV etc)
  • Print Management: Managing printers to ensure timely production and distribution of campaign materials
  • Direct Mail Distribution: Liaising with our mail house to book direct mail distribution ensuring on-time deliveries
  • Catalogue Distribution: Liaising with 3rd-party letter box distributors to book and ensure timely distribution of the catalogue
  • Digital Communication: Working closely with internal CRM & Digital teams to set up and execute campaign SMS, EDM & Social communication

Requirements:

Tertiary qualified in marketing or communication, with a minimum of 2 years' marketing and communication experience, preferably with Local Area Marketing exposure, Retail industry experience, and previous experience within a Franchise group - ideal but not essential.
