We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Yooralla, a leading disability service provider in Victoria.
Key Responsibilities- Support adults with disability in Residential Accommodation, providing one-on-one or group support in their homes and occasionally in the community.
- Implement personalized plans that address the unique needs and goals of each individual, working closely with them to achieve their objectives.
- Assist with daily living and personal care needs, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility, as well as overnight care.
- Support clients with shopping, appointments, and events, promoting their independence and autonomy.
- A positive approach, initiative, and self-motivation, with a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
- Effective communication skills and good English literacy to communicate well with clients.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team, with a commitment to empowering clients to reach their goals.
- Experience in manual handling and willingness to support clients with personal care activities.
- Australian Driver Licence and the right to work in Australia.
- Ability to obtain a First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate if not already held.
