About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in Narre Warren. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered support to individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans, working closely with clients and their families
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, helping them to build relationships and engage in activities
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Qualifications in disability support or a related field (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly those with complex needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and their families
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and willingness to undergo regular checks
