Overview of the Position
The People & Culture Business Partner plays a vital role within the Human Resources team, ensuring the effective and precise delivery of HR services to Arcare Aged Care and its workforce throughout the employee journey. You will cultivate and maintain constructive professional relationships with Arcare Managers and the executive leadership team, offering guidance and operational expertise on all aspects of human resource management to align with Arcare's HR strategy. This role may require travel to various locations across Queensland as necessary.Key Responsibilities
As the People & Culture Business Partner, your duties will include: Ensuring compliance with relevant industrial relations, enterprise bargaining agreements, equal employment opportunity, occupational health and safety, and training requirements. Supporting the National Industrial Relations/Employee Relations Lead in daily HR operations. Providing assistance and advice on workforce planning and change management, both operationally and through special projects. Facilitating training on employee relations matters and Arcare initiatives as needed. Serving as the primary contact for managers and employees regarding Employee Relations issues, offering direct support to management in conducting workplace investigations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Advising and coaching Residence Managers on all personnel-related matters throughout the employee lifecycle. Assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes as required. Being adaptable in traveling to various locations across Queensland when necessary. Performing other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management are preferred. Prior experience in a similar role, particularly within the Aged Care sector, is advantageous. Knowledge and experience in industrial relations and employee relations. Familiarity with employment law and related experience in areas such as equal opportunity and workplace safety. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to foster effective working relationships at all organizational levels. High level of confidentiality, compassion, and integrity. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and experience in performance management, recruitment, and HR administrative tasks. Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as the Microsoft Office suite. Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain) and a Statutory Declaration. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.Organizational Culture
