About the Role

The Talent & Development Advisor plays a pivotal role in enhancing Auto & General's talent, leadership, and team culture by collaborating with leaders in Claims & Assessing and People & Culture. This position will identify, consult, and advise on learning and talent solutions to support the strategies of these departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with People Business Partners and leaders in Claims & Assessing to identify talent and development needs, focusing on skill and capability gaps.
  • Work with specialist teams to customize and deliver timely development solutions for C&A staff, including Team Leaders.
  • Maintain a Technical Capability Framework for Consultants and Frontline Leaders in Claims & Assessing.
  • Embed a Technical Capability Framework to frontline leaders, coaching them on its use for team development.
  • Embed the flagship leadership programs to enhance Team Leader and Frontline Leader capabilities.
  • Identify skill gaps from Consultant to Team Leader roles and engage Learning, HR, or OD teams for targeted development interventions.
  • Collaborate with People Business Partners on a Succession Planning Framework for C&A, coaching leaders on its use.

About You

  • Strong internal consulting skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Experience advising leaders on divisional level talent identification and succession planning activities.
  • Excellent coaching skills to engage and motivate individuals for learning and behavior change.
  • Experience leading in a frontline call center sales or service environment or partnering with these areas.
  • Experience working in the financial services sector, ideally within an HR/OD or Learning role.
  • Familiarity with various learning methodologies, including eLearning, virtual classrooms, and blended approaches.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, with effective planning and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication.
