Logistics Operations Specialist Job

The Logistics Operations Specialist will play a key role in our organization's success, overseeing daily operations of the fleet and ensuring high safety standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of drivers to ensure timely scheduling and allocation
  • Maintenance of excellent working relationships with stakeholders, customers, and drivers
  • Effective communication with drivers and customers around planning, runs, and delays
  • Conducting proactive assessments to enhance operational efficiency
  • Management of payroll, driver performance, leave entitlements, and vehicle maintenance
  • Load planning & optimization via analytical skills
  • Identification and implementation of opportunities to improve current processes and revenue margins
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a similar Logistics or Operations role
  • Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), Chain of Responsibility (CoR), and National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) legislation
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SAP, MT Data, WMS, and TMS systems
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • A continuous improvement mindset
