Senior Business Process Analyst - Transformation Specialist

We are seeking a highly capable business process analyst to support digital transformation initiatives within a federal agency. The role involves capturing current-state processes, defining future-state models, leveraging data for insights, and aligning systems with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document current and future state business processes using BPMN, flowcharts, and structured templates.
  • Conduct integration and data analysis to assess system compatibility and inform solution design.
  • Lead gap analysis and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business, policy, and technical teams to co-design future solutions.
  • Analyse and visualise data using tools such as SAS, Power BI, or Tableau to support public sector reporting and decision-making.
  • Develop or support business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments.
  • Assist in procurement activities including RFQ preparation, vendor evaluation, and compliance checks.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and provide responsive communication to leadership and delivery teams.
Requirements
  • Proven experience documenting business processes using BPMN or equivalent tools.
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, future-state design, and process optimisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analytics, visualisation, and interpretation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes and business case development.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and proactive mindset with ability to take direction.
  • Must be an Australian citizen.
