Brighter Options is a values-driven organisation that supports young people with disabilities to explore their potential and empower them.
We provide person-centred support to young people focusing on employment preparation and independent living skills, building confidence, skills, and real-world readiness for a fulfilling life and career.
This role involves guiding school leavers in their transition from high school to the workforce, providing tailored, strengths-based support that inspires independence, builds meaningful connections, and shapes new beginnings.
The successful candidate will be a compassionate and motivated Youth Employment Specialist who can deliver engaging one-on-one sessions covering career exploration, goal setting, resume writing, interview practice, workplace expectations, travel training, time management, and money handling.
Key responsibilities include designing and reviewing individualised support plans, facilitating work experience and volunteering opportunities, building strong relationships with participants, families, and potential employers, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to our inclusive team culture.
We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for supporting young people with disability, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work autonomously and as part of a close-knit team, and valid driver's licence, working with children check, and NDIS worker screening check.
The ideal candidate will have qualifications or experience in Disability, Education, Community Services, or a related field, understanding of the NDIS, commitment to person-centred practice, and experience in employment services, training, disability support, or youth engagement.
