Support Officer Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated individual to facilitate the transition of apprentices and trainees into the adult education learning environment.

This role involves serving as the first point of contact, responsible for the onboarding process, induction programs, site visits and compliance requirements associated with apprenticeships and traineeships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as a conduit to connect apprentices and trainees with relevant support services.
  • Supporting apprentices and trainees through their educational journey, fostering retention and career outcomes.
  • Establishing professional networks with employers, community organisations and apprenticeship support networks.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Practical experience in engaging and supporting apprentices and trainees, particularly in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to handle competing priorities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship compliance requirements, training packages and mentoring strategies for young students.
  • A degree in careers advice, job placement or employment services, or relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
