This is a fantastic opportunity for an up-and-coming safety professional to expand on their experience and influence the organization's safety culture.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience within civil construction, with a strong background in mobile plant operations and a Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety. They will also possess a valid QLD Driver's license and a current industry White Card.

The ideal candidate will be a champion of safety, with a proactive and self-motivated approach to problem-solving. They will have strong technical knowledge and process-oriented skills, with the ability to adapt to new systems easily.

The role will involve assisting with the implementation of HSE plans, policies, procedures, and strategies, as well as supporting sites to ensure emergency plans, procedures, and programs are established, compliant, and tested.

The successful candidate will be required to travel to sites on the Gold Coast and oversee late afternoon/evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the implementation of HSE plans, policies, procedures, and strategies
  • Support sites to ensure emergency plans, procedures, and programs are established, compliant, and tested
  • Proactively onboard and monitor all contractors in line with the Sub-Contractor Management Procedure
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes and problem-solving activities related to safety, health, environment, and sustainability
