Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Associate to join our dispute resolution practice, specializing in complex commercial litigation and emerging areas such as cryptocurrency disputes.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing high-stakes matters, shaping the strategic direction of the litigation team, and contributing to the firm's leadership and growth. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex litigation matters across commercial, regulatory, and financial sectors, providing strategic legal advice on disputes involving digital assets, blockchain technologies, and cryptocurrency platforms.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for representing clients in insolvency-related proceedings, advising financial institutions and corporate clients on regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, and compliance disputes, driving business development and building a robust client portfolio in litigation and dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex litigation matters across commercial, regulatory, and financial sectors.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on disputes involving digital assets, blockchain technologies, and cryptocurrency platforms.
  • Represent clients in insolvency-related proceedings, including liquidations, administrations, and bankruptcy litigation.
  • Advise financial institutions and corporate clients on regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, and compliance disputes.
  • Drive business development and build a robust client portfolio in litigation and dispute resolution.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an admitted lawyer in Australia, with 6-10 years of post-admission experience in commercial litigation, preferably with exposure to cryptocurrency, insolvency, or financial services litigation. You should also have a proven track record of managing complex disputes and achieving successful outcomes, excellent advocacy, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills, and strong client relationship skills to attract and retain high-value clients.
